1. Interpolation definition.
The machine tool numerical control system determines the process of the tool movement track according to a certain method. That is, some data on the curve is known, and a method of calculating an intermediate point between known points according to an algorithm. Also known as “densification of data points.”
2. Linear interpolation.
In common, linear interpolation is a used interpolation method on a lathe. In this mode, the interpolation between two points is approached along a linear point group, and the movement of the tool is controlled along the line. The contours of a part are often varied, with straight lines, arcs, or arbitrary curves, splines, etc. CNC machine tools often cannot pass the actual contour of the curve. Instead, the tool is moved approximately in a small number of straight lines, generally in the x and y directions.
3. Circular interpolation.
Circular interpolation is another interpolation method. In this mode, the point group that approximates the actual arc is calculated based on the interpolation digital information between the two ends, and the control tool moves along these points to process the arc curve.
According to different platforms, general motion controllers can be divided into three categories: PLC controller, embedded controller, and PC-based control card. Pc-based controllers have developed rapidly in China in recent years, mainly due to open systems, reasonable performance, and lower prices. In the field of Pc-based controllers, we also provide dedicated controllers for some sub-sectors.
Of course, you can go directly to our Aliexpress.com NewCarve store to find the CNC controller or more accessories you want.
