Install Nc Studio Control System

If you already have an older version of NcStudio on the computer, please remove it before installing the new version. You can install the new version of NcStudio directly, but please note that this type of operation will overwrite all data from the old version.

The NcStudio system consists of two parts: software and motion control card. As a result, the system’s setup is also divided into two phases: software settings and control card settings.

Install the motion control card before installing the software to avoid the trouble of installing the driver separately on the motion control card.

Software settings

Please follow the steps below to install the software:

(1) Start the computer (PC), the system will automatically run the PC operating system. If you have not installed any operating system on your PC, please install one first. After the PC starts, please close the unrelated running application.

(2) Then insert the installation CD. Open “My Computer” and double-click on the CD-ROM drive. Find the software installation package under the directory and double-click it.

(3) The first dialog box in the installation process pops up, showing “Press ‘Yes’ to start updating the system, press ‘No’ to exit”

(4) Click [Yes] to continue. In order to prevent the old software from interfering with the installation of the new version, the system will prompt the installer to delete all the files of the old version of the software.

(5) Click [OK] to confirm. If the old version of the software is installed on this PC, you will be prompted to save its parameter settings. If you save the parameter settings here, you can apply all the settings to the current software without having to set the parameters again. You can make your own decisions and then choose [Yes] or [No] to continue. If you are installing this type of software for the first time, this step will not exist. Please skip to “Step 6” to move on.

(6) By default, the NcStudio system will be installed in the directory C:\Program Files\Naiky. A dialog box will appear prompting the user to decide whether to put the generated file and the executable file together or separately. Recommended [no]. The next dialog box that appears prompts you to turn off your computer for easy installation of motion control cards ([Yes] is recommended).

(7) After restarting the computer, the software installation is completed.

Install NcStudio motion control card and other related equipment

After the software installation is complete, follow these steps to install the NcStudio Motion Control Card:

(1) Turn off the power of the PC host, open the chassis, and then insert the card into the available and well-matched expansion slot PCI / OCIE slot. When installing the motion control card, gently grasp the sides of the card with your hand to ensure that the card is securely inserted into the slot and connected to the computer backplane. Finally, tighten the screws of the control card, and then close the cover to complete the installation of the motion control card.

(2) Similar to the above steps, it is requested to insert the connected portion of the peripheral device into its usable and well-matched slot.

(3) Please restart your computer after the installation is complete.
