When using the WEIHONG NK260/280 controller, the machine cannot return to the origin. In this case, you can refer to the following troubleshooting methods:
1. The origin signal is not detected when the machine is returned to the origin.
Usually, there is a problem with the origin switch. The detection adjustment steps are as shown:
2. The machine tool moves in the wrong direction when returning to the machine origin.
The possible causes are as follows:
(1) The origin signal polarity is incorrect. When the home switch is normally open, the polarity is N; when it is normally closed, the polarity is P;
(2) Also, if the parameter setting is incorrect, you need to check the parameter “2101~2103 back to the machine origin X/Y/Z axis direction” and modify the corresponding parameters.
3. The rough positioning speed is very slow during the process of returning to the machine origin.
The possible causes are as follows:
(1) The setting value of “2107~2109 back to machine origin X/Y/Z axis speed” in the parameter is too small;
(2) The origin signal polarity setting in the software does not match the type of the origin switch. If the origin switch used is normally closed and the origin signal polarity is N, the original signal is valid when starting to return to the machine origin. It will move slowly away from the origin at the fine positioning speed.
